Poem: I’d Love Me, if I Was a Worm

I’d Love Me, if I was a Worm

Cut the thread between your wrist and knee

Raise your fist at the sound of a pin drop

Learn from the breeze and scream

Leave with the weather

Rise with the moon.

There is a force between your ankles and neck

Remember it.

Travel through your day with it

Walk with its hum

Berry your hands in bushes

And bury the hustle in graves

Create a self you love in sunsets

Paint your soul with the sky

Let life rain with the storm that grows

For it knows

Knows better than I

What you need

You are nature’s child

Celebrate the holy of holys

Celebrate your soul
